If you are experiencing a life threatening medical emergency, dial 9-1-1 immediately.
A medical emergency is an event that you reasonably believe threatens your or someone else’s life or limb in such a manner that immediate medical care is needed to prevent death or serious impairment of health. A medical emergency includes severe pain, bad injury, a serious illness, or a medical condition that is quickly getting much worse. To help you decide if you should call 9-1-1 answer these questions (as best you can):
• Is the condition life or limb threatening?
• Could the condition worsen quickly on the way to the hospital?
• If you move the victim, will it cause further injury?
If you’re not sure about the answer to the above questions, call 9-1-1 and the trained dispatcher will help advise you. It is better to be safe and let the 9-1-1 call taker determine if you need emergent assistance. Always err on the side of caution. When in doubt, call.
Voicemail
A secure voicemail service is available to patients outside of center hours for any non-emergent request or concern. A staff member will return your call within the following business day, during regular health center hours. To leave a secure voicemail for health center staff, call the center’s phone line and listen to the prompts/instructions.

24/7 telemedicine services are available to patients with non-life threatening health issues/concerns via Teladoc. Talk to a doctor in minutes, anytime, anywhere to receive the care you need! Whether you are out of town on vacation, you’re traveling on business, or you’re ill or injured outside of the health and wellness center hours – virtual doctor visits provide a high-quality, easy-to-use solution for many common medical conditions.
24/7 telemedicine visits occur through secure computer or mobile device consultations. During your visit, you’ll be connected to a board-certified Teladoc physician. Your provider will evaluate, diagnose and treat your condition. If you require medication, the provider can send a prescription electronically to most pharmacies in the United States.
It’s not always possible to see your regular primary care provider, especially in the evening, over the weekend or if you are out of town. Not only does 24/7 telemedicine make it easy to take care of your health concerns, but you’ll also receive detailed visit notes that you can share with your regular provider, making quality care easy and seamless.
